Alleged thief targets Melbourne students sitting their final exams

Year 12 students sitting their final exams have fallen victim to an opportunistic thief at a Doncaster East school.

Detectives allege a man walked through the corridors of the Church Street school at around 10.30am on October 30, opening a number of student lockers and stealing a Samsung mobile phone.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they believe can assist with their inquiries.

The man is understood to be of Caucasian appearance, aged between 20-30 years old and of a thin to medium build.

He is seen wearing a light-coloured hooded jumper, dark pants, light-coloured runners, dark sunglasses and a dark cap.
