Alleged drunk driver crashes and flips car

An alleged drunk driver has crashed and rolled his car in Sydney overnight.
Police said the 70-year-old driver was attempting to negotiate a bend in the road on Essendon Street in St Johns Park before 6.30pm when his Toyota Camry hit the rear of a parked car and rolled.
Paramedics attended the crash but the man didn’t require treatment.

The street was closed for an hour while emergency services cleared the scene.
Police allege the man failed a roadside breath test, and later returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.117, more than double the legal limit.
He was charged with mid-range drink driving and will appear in court on July 11.
