Police targeting Comancheros as boss to be extradited to Sydney after Gold Coast arrest
NSW Police have been "targeting" the activities of the Comancheros, one of Australia's biggest outlaw motorcycle gangs, as the group's national president was extradited to Sydney today.
Comanchero boss Allan Meehan was arrested on the Gold Coast yesterday, after allegedly breaching a Supreme Court Serious Crime Prevention Order (CSPO), which was granted in November 2021.
A SCPO is designed to "prevent, restrict or disrupt" someone's involvement in serious crime-related activities and terrorism offences, according to the New South Wales Parliament.

Meehan allegedly breached the order on four separate occasions.
Detective superintendent Grant Taylor said the 35-year-old was being escorted to Sydney, after being found at a home in Benowa Waters, and would face court later today.
"Almost immediately after that order was taken out at the Supreme Court, his phone was shut down and he was in a car to Queensland," Taylor alleged.

"To be a national president of one of the biggest outlaw motorcycle groups in this country you throw yourself out there in regards to any sort of potential issue."

Police will allege in court that Meehan – who is a high-ranking member of the Comancheros outlaw motorcycle gang - contravened his Serious Crime Prevention Order (SCPO) by not providing the full address of his temporary accommodation, not providing an intended return date to his primary residence, and possessing/using a communication device with encrypted message capabilities.
In a separate incident but part of ongoing operations, NSW detectives raided properties in Greystanes and Haymarket in Sydney yesterday.
A 33-year-old man was served with a Digital Evidence Access Order, which police will allege he refused to comply with, before he was arrested and taken into custody.
During the warrants, police seized steroids, several mobile phones and a suspected dedicated encrypted criminal communication device. They will undergo further forensic examination.

The Greystanes man was charged with two counts of fail to comply digital evidence access order direction, two counts of deal with property proceeds of crime less than $100,000, and one count each of intending to pervert the course of justice, and possess prohibited drug.
He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court later today.
