Airport sets up 'selfies' with G20 leaders

Tight G20 security might make it impossible to be buddies with Barack or party with Putin, but visitors to Brisbane can still snap a selfie with world leaders.

Brisbane Airport is rolling out free, interactive installations including selfie centres, so passengers can capture an image of themselves as part of a traditional leaders' official photo.

The domestic terminal will also feature theatre acts, a chalk art extravaganza and G20 flag tattoo giveaways.

Weary passengers delayed by G20-related aircraft will be compensated with coffee vouchers and Tim Tams as well.

A spokeswoman said the airport wanted to thank travellers, who will inevitably have to put up with minor disruptions.

"The G20 leaders' summit is a wonderful opportunity for our city, state and country, but it does mean it won't be entirely business as usual at the airport," she said.

"So we wanted to make sure travellers got a taste of the excitement and that the delegates and media coming from all over the world received a warm and friendly Brisbane welcome."
