Aged care sector to be examined by Senate

The challenges facing the aged-care workforce at a time of an ageing population will be examined by a parliamentary inquiry.

Greens senator Rachel Siewert says the sector faces significant challenges, struggling to attract and retain aged care workers.

The Senate inquiry will look at how government at all levels can ensure the sector grows alongside the ageing population, she said on Tuesday.
