Aged care may have NDIS style shakeup: Ley

The aged care sector could soon see a national disability insurance scheme-style shake-up.

Federal Health Minister Sussan Ley says she's considering "consumer directed care" to give patients a greater say about the services they receive.

"It is saying to older Australians `what do you want? How do we give you the support in your own home to keep you there as long as possible?'," she told ABC TV on Sunday.
