African gang hold helpless convenience store worker at knife-point

A female employee has been held at knife-point as an African gang robbed a convenience store in Brisbane.

Authorities said the five men stormed the Night Owl store in Yeronga about 10.40pm yesterday and demanded cash.

The footage shows the thugs jump over the counter before pointing a knife at the terrified 40-year-old staff member.

The helpless worker can be seen crouched in the corner as the thugs terrorise her.

One of the men demanded she hand over money from two cash registers before asking her to open the store’s safe.

When she was unable to open the safe, the men began to throw various objects across the office.

The offenders eventually fled, taking a sum of cash, tobacco products and the woman’s mobile phone.

The victim did not suffer any physical injuries but is said to be shaken up.

The thugs are all described as having a skinny, tall build and are of African appearance.
