AFP audit reveals lost Tasers: report
AAP
An audit of federal police equipment has reportedly revealed missing items including night-vision goggles, munitions, body armour and Tasers.
Fairfax newspapers report the loss of the controlled items was discovered amid allegations former AFP officers took items with them when leaving the organisation.
An AFP spokesman told Fairfax no guns were listed as missing or lost, but the reports say this is the second time since 2009 that the AFP has been warned its stocktake procedures for controlled items are of serious concern.
