Exclusive: Jack Watts 'embarrassed' over 'shocking look' after snorting white powder in video

Jack Watts has spoken to 9NEWS, apologising for his actions following the release of a video that shows him snorting white powder off a woman's chest.

The Port Adelaide forward said he is embarrassed and disappointed in himself, but wasn't doing anything illegal.

Fronting the media at the Port Adelaide football club at Alberton this morning, Watts said it has been a "shocking" 24 hours.

A video of the 27-year-old forward emerged on social media yesterday, showing him shaking a white powder onto a woman's chest before snorting the substance.

The incident was filmed at Oktoberfest in Munich, last October.

Watts insists the white powder was not cocaine, but Wiesn Pulver - a legal mix of menthol and glucose - commonly available at the festival.

"It's a pretty shocking look," Watts said.

"I'm really obviously disappointed with myself and you can imagine having my parents and my sister watching a video like that it's not a great feeling.

"The pain and the burden I've caused for the club and the supporters and the teammates and the coaches that's probably what hurts me the most."

Watts claimed he was filmed without his consent.

He said he has made a lot of positive changes in his life since the incident and is looking forward to continuing that in future.

The club has also released a statement saying it, along with the AFL, is aware of the video and has spoken to Watts about it.

The AFL said it will also make its own inquiries into the video.
