AFL backs constitutional recognition

Give me an R.
The AFL will be chanting "recognise" this week, after the code backed a campaign to gain constitutional recognition for indigenous Australians.
The ball will bounce on an "R" in the centre circle during all games in round 11 to promote the Recognise campaign.

Indigenous Affairs Minister Nigel Scullion congratulated the AFL, saying the code had long been a strong supporter of indigenous Australians, not just in sport but in the community.
The Recognise campaign aims to raise public awareness ahead and gain support for a referendum to recognise indigenous Australians in the constitution.
Australian of the year and AFL legend Adam Goodes has also backed the campaign.
