Adele's toddler son wins five-figure pay out in privacy claim over paparazzi shots

Superstar Adele's toddler son has won a five-figure sum in damages from overzealous paparazzi.

The Rolling in the Deep singer filed the case against Corbis Images UK in her son’s name, accusing the agency of illegally taking and posting photos of her son Angelo Adkins during his “milestone” first family outings.

Her lawyer Jenny Afia said the Grammy-winner was determined her one-year-old son would not become “public property”.

The undisclosed settlement, reportedly between $50,000 and $99,000, will be held on trust, Ms Afia said.

“It is a matter of profound sadness that many of his milestone moments, such as his first family outing and his first trip to playgroup, were photographed and published worldwide expressly against his family's wishes,” she told the BBC.

"Adele and Simon never encourage such photos. Quite the opposite."

The agency has also agreed not to use the photos.

The singer is renowned for her dislike of paps and has spoken previously of her “phobia” of being photographed.
