Adele publicly offers support to Kesha during Brit Awards acceptance speech

Adele has publicly offered her support to Kesha while presenting her Brit Awards acceptance speech.

Kesha was involved in a lawsuit with her record label for three years following her claims that music producer Dr. Luke had sexually and physically abused her for several years.

She pleaded to get out of her contract but was denied by a New York judge, with the contract requiring her to create another six albums.

“To the other nominees, it’s an honour to be standing amongst you,” Adele began her speech.

“I’d like to thank my management and record label for embracing the fact that I’m a woman and being encouraged by it.

“I’d like to take this moment to publicly support Kesha.”
