US baseballer refused bail over violent Adelaide carjacking

The Adelaide Magistrates Court has heard an American baseball player accused of a violent carjacking in the city was under the influence of drugs and alcohol at the time.
28-year-old Tim Cusick allegedly attacked a motorist on North Terrace before crashing the stolen car into the front yard of a home at Richmond, last Wednesday.

The Magistrate was told the American national had consumed whisky, mixed spirits and LSD before the incident. His application for bail was refused, he'll face court again in June.
