Man arrested after driver 'shot in face' crashes into tree

A 40-year-old Adelaide man has been charged with attempted murder after another man was found with facial injuries, consistent with being shot.

The incident occurred around 2am in Waterloo Corner, on Adelaide's northern rural fringe.

Police say a 43-year-old man from Wall Flat was "found with facial injuries consistent with being shot".

Officers went to a house on Dunn Road where two occupants of the home were removed.

The wounded man was found at Waterloo Corner, in Adelaide's north, early on Thursday morning, where he had crashed his car into a tree.

The 43-year-old was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

Later today the suspect was arrested, charged and refused bail.

He will appear in Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Friday.
