Adelaide firies declared heroes after rescuing kittens from burning home

Firefighters in Adelaide are being called heroes after rescuing three kittens from a burning building.

Fire crews were called to a Morphett Vale home engulfed by flames last night and quickly brought the blaze under control.

The crew rescued two dogs and three kittens were from inside the home.

Authorities believe the property was deliberately set alight.

The fire is estimated to have caused more than $150,000 in damage.

While three kittens were rescued and are safe, authorities said other cats perished in the fire.
