Ransom threats at two Canberra hotels

Two Canberra hotels have been targeted by ransom requests, police say.

The Novotel and Pavilion hotels on Wednesday received suspicious phone calls demanding cash and making threats and shortly alerted ACT Policing.

A dog squad is searching both hotels while police determine the veracity of the threats.
