Man injured in ACT McDonald's explosion

A man is in a serious condition in Canberra Hospital after suffering burns in a gas explosion at a fast food outlet.

Firefighters have shut off the gas at the McDonald's in Civic and it's being ventilated.

A seven-storey building above the restaurant was evacuated, but residents have been given the all clear to return home, the ACT emergency services agency said on Sunday night.
