Man in custody after woman's death in ACT

A man is in custody after police found him near the body of a woman in a southern Canberra unit block.

Police were called to the block in Duggan Street, Calwell, around 4.40pm amid reports of a disturbance.

They found the woman dead from critical injuries and are treating her death as a homicide.

A man found at the scene was taken in custody but charges are yet to be laid.
