ACT man nabbed for speeding, unpaid fines

A 21-year-old disqualified driver has been been nabbed for regularly speeding at up to 187km/h and racking up more than $20,000 in fines in the ACT.

He was arrested on an outstanding warrant while a passenger during a traffic stop on the Monaro Highway early on Saturday morning, police say.

A spray-painted car with false registration plates was later seized from a Canberra property, and the man will face the ACT Magistrates Court later in the day where multiple fresh charges will be laid.
