ACT police warn against drunk climbing

Canberra police have arrested a 22-year-old man who climbed up a construction crane and perched 55 metres above the ground while intoxicated.

ACT Policing Sergeant Jeff Knight said that the man not only put his own life at risk but also the police who had to climb up to help him down.

"Activities like these may seem harmless at the time - but can have significant and fatal consequences," he said in a statement.
