Accused Qld murder plotter to stay in jail

The Queensland operator of a NSW fish and chip shop accused of conspiring to kill his landlord will remain behind bars until at least May.

Gold Coast man Joseph Palermo, 36, has been charged with conspiracy to murder and weapons possession.

Palermo and co-accused Daniel Habershon, 25, were arrested in February outside the landlord's home in Clayfield in northern Brisbane.

Palermo's case was mentioned briefly in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday.

Prosecutors told the court they needed more time to examine telephone intercepts and computer data.

Palermo was remanded in custody and the case will return to the same court on May 19.
