Accused killer Gable Tostee breaks his silence on Facebook

Accused murderer Gable Tostee has broken his silence after being held in police custody for almost a month, thanking his friends and supporters on his Facebook page.

“To my friends and those who have been supporting me, I want to thank you and say that I miss you all,” he wrote.

“I have been in custody for almost a month now for a crime I did not commit and have lost contact with almost everyone.

“I maintain my absolute innocence and hope that this nightmare will be over soon.”

The 28-year-old remains in custody, accused of the murder of New Zealand tourist Warriena Wright, who fell from his 14th floor balcony on August 8.

The pair reportedly met on dating app Tinder.

A date for Mr Tostee’s bail hearing is yet to be set.
