NSW govt considers abuse redress findings

The NSW government has signalled it is willing to talk to its state and federal counterparts about a national redress scheme for child sexual abuse victims.

NSW Attorney-General Gabrielle Upton welcomed recommendations from the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse on Monday that include establishing a multi-billion dollar victim's redress scheme.

"We look forward to discussions with the commonwealth and other states and territories on this issue over the coming months," Ms Upton said in a statement.
