Eric Abetz has denied calling cabinet colleagues "gutless", claiming he was misquoted by the ABC.
Senator Abetz on Wednesday told ABC radio that those who provided unattributed comments to the media were "gutless" and slammed them for breaking cabinet rules.
He denied on Thursday that the comment was directed at cabinet colleagues, telling the Senate: "The ABC - surprise, surprise - misquotes me".
