ABC presenter in on-air gaffe

ABC news presenter Karina Carvalho has appeared live on air patting her hair and muttering in an embarrassing blunder for the network.

Footage of Friday night’s awkward gaffe shows Karina Carvalho moving towards the camera completely oblivious to the fact that she is live on air.

Carvalho pats her hair and wanders around the set muttering before saying, “Oh…I think when I did that something.”

This is the second on-air blunder for Carvalho in recent times.

In December, Carvalho was caught out bantering with her colleagues.

Video of the incident shows a laughing Carvalho saying to a co-worker off-camera, “No cause you would just insert your opinions.”

The smile quickly disappears from Carvalho’s face as she realises she is live.

The presenter then takes a deep breath to regain her professional composure before launching into the news bulletin.
