ABC flags staff and program changes after less funding

The ABC will make staff and program changes after funding for a newsgathering program was reduced in the budget.

The public broadcaster said there would "necessarily be some changes to staffing and programming in line with the reduced allocation of funds".

While the budget committed $41.4 million over three years for the program, which aims to bolster local and regional services, the ABC says it received $20 million last year.
