Abbott rules out live cattle export ban

Prime Minister Tony Abbott says he won't repeat Labor's mistake by shutting down the live export trade in response to claims animals are being killed with sledgehammers in Vietnam.
Mr Abbott says the government will carefully investigate any allegations of cruelty and will take "appropriate action" if necessary.
"But the last thing we will do is close down this trade," he told reporters in Brisbane on Wednesday.
