Woman who was charged after reporting Australia's worst paedophile faces court

She spoke out about flaws in a police investigation, and soon after was hit with a criminal charge herself.

Yolanda Borucki was the whistle blower who revealed the missed opportunities to arrest Australia's worst paedophile sooner and today was her chance to try to clear her name in court.

Borucki was charged by Queensland Police with computer hacking just days after giving an interview to A Current Affair about the same police service's handling of its investigation into paedophile Ashley Griffith.

Yolanda had exposed concerns with how Queensland Police handled a complaint she filed regarding Griffith some 10 months before he was eventually arrested and charged with sexually abusing 91 children across two states over 15 years.

Griffith was able to abuse four more young children after being cleared by police due to a lack of evidence.

Just days after the interview aired, Queensland Police raided her home.

Yolanda, a grandmother with no criminal history was scared and confused, as she was confronted by detectives armed with guns and tasers.

Officers from Taskforce Argos usually lock up predators and rescue children from harm but were instead on a mission to seize this whistle-blower's devices after a complaint by her former employer.
