Angry customers claim orders from wine rack business never arrived

An online wine rack business is under scrutiny after several customers both in Australia and overseas claim they never received their goods or their money back.

Wine Stash markets itself as an online business offering premium and sustainable wine storage options handmade in Australia and owned by Matthew Childs.

But according to angry customers, the business isn't all that it seems.

Avid wine collector Simon lost his original wine cellar in a fire a few years ago so when he came across Wine Stash, it was a perfect fit to rebuild.

He created plans for his dream cellar and paid $6138.37 for the order to be delivered - but claims it never arrived.

He went to NSW Fair Trading and then the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT) to get his money back but even after the people's court ruled in favour of Simon, he says Wine Stash never paid up.

Several other customers told their stories to A Current Affair of ordering a wine cellar but claiming to have never received their orders.

Childs issued a statement to A Current Affair saying Wine Stash is aware of the issues and sincerely apologises for any inconvenience caused.
