Tradies’ goodwill gesture for pensioner living in the dark

Pete was left with no power after an excavator tore through cables in his yard.

The tradie doing the work refused to fix the problem or accept any responsibility, leaving the pensioner in the dark for two months.

The cost to restore power was estimated between $10,000 and $15,000 - completely out-of-reach for the Queensland man.

But just when Pete was at his wit’s end, a few good-hearted tradies got in contact with A Current Affair.
