Wizard of Oz remake news divides fans

There are plans for two new movies based on the classic book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, but fans of the 1939 film starring Judy Garland are divided over whether it's a good idea or not.
Some say if the new films flop it will damage the brand, but others say there's a chance to expand the story and introduce new generations to them.

Since the book was first published in 1900, there have been 45 films made.
Two silent films were made before the classic film which sets the standard.
