Heart-stopping police chase captured on camera
As a police car chase ensued through Sydney's busy streets this morning, every near miss and heart-stopping moment was captured on camera as a helicopter followed from above.
The suspected stolen car, with Queensland number plates, managed to dodge police as they swarmed in Sydney's south-west.

The fugitive car repeatedly weaved in and out of oncoming traffic, seemingly with no regard for other drivers.
At times the vehicle reached terrifying speeds and repeatedly crossed to the other side of the road, narrowly missing cars, trucks and buses travelling in the opposite direction.
In scenes normally reserved for Hollywood the damaged sedan led police across a wide swathe of the metropolitan area.

Marked and unmarked police cars followed and the police chopper tracked the car's every move.
Ray Hadley from 2GB radio, which is owned by Nine, said the chase was like a State of Origin footy match.
The radio host gave listeners a blow by blow commentary.

"They're driving like lunatics," Hadley told his listeners.
"I've got a live feed of the chopper in the studio with me at the moment."
Eventually the chase ended when the car crashed into a traffic light pole near a school and shopping centre at North Rocks in the north-west.
Police swooped with their guns drawn and quickly dragged the male driver and his female passenger out of the car before slapping handcuffs on the pair.

The driver was bundled into a police truck.
Police recovered what appeared to be a sawn-off high powered rifle and a pistol grip gel blaster from the car's boot.
"It was clear the driver and his passenger had no concern whatsoever for other motorists and road users … their manner of driving was appalling and it was just lucky that no one was injured," police told media late today.
"People's lives were very, very seriously put at risk," Hadley said.
