To the women he met on dating apps like Bumble, Darron Levin presented himself as a gentleman of means – someone who knew how to put together an outfit.

But behind the designer labels and claims of being a high-end property investor, a much darker reality has emerged.
A Current Affair has uncovered a pattern of behaviour leaving a trail of broken trust, missing investments, and a litany of fabricated credentials that raises the question: is Levin a romance scammer?
Sissi Wang, an entrepreneur with more than 1.5 million social media followers, is one woman who believed they had found a partner in Levin.
They met on Bumble, dated, and even introduced one another to their children.
But trust turned to resentment when Levin pitched Wang an investment opportunity: a Bondi property deal promising a healthy return within three months. Wang says she was “thinking with her heart, not her head”.
She invested $30,000, expecting a return of $10,000. That was over a year ago. Today, she is still waiting for her money.
“The public needs to know and they need to be aware,” Wang told A Current Affair.
Levin denies the claim, stating he’s dragging Wang before the Supreme Court – although at the time of writing, no such case exists – while Wang has filed a fraud complaint with NSW Police against Levin.
Levin’s claims of being a legitimate businessman stand in stark contrast to his official record.

Court documents reveal a man with a significant criminal history.
Levin is currently serving a 23-month prison term by way of a community intensive corrections order for two counts of domestic violence. This sentence was handed down just four weeks before he met Wang.
He was also sentenced to 21 months jail for fraud in 2024, also served via an intensive corrections order in the community, with an order to pay $1,000,000 compensation.
Other creditors are chasing Levin for $327,000, which triggered his bankruptcy.
Another woman courted by Levin reported being bombarded with relentless messages and voicemails; one claimed he had been incarcerated.
Other messages to love interests and investors stated he was an Israeli Mossad spy.
A Current Affair’s investigation found that Levin’s alleged deceptions extended far beyond simple romance scams.
CCTV video captures Levin accepting a bundle of cash from a cosmetic surgeon for a property deal. When the doctor asked for his money back, Levin used threats of association with organised crime figures the Alameddine family.
When A Current Affair confronted Levin, not once but twice in one afternoon, he was dashing in every sense of the word.
