Optus CEO faces grilling during Senate inquiry

Optus chief executive Kelly Bayer Rosmarin fronted a Senate inquiry today, nine days on from a nationwide network outage that impacted more than 10 million customers.

Senators did not hold back from a scathing attack on the network carrier, which revealed there were 228 triple zero calls that did not go through due to the service meltdown.

Bayer Rosmarin was also queried on her future at Optus as resignation rumours swirl.

"I'm sure you can appreciate my entire focus has been restoring the outage ... it has not been a time to think about myself," Bayer Rosmarin said.
