One year on from Queen Elizabeth II's death

It's hard to believe it has been a year since Queen Elizabeth II passed away in her beloved Balmoral Castle in Scotland.

She was the longest-serving UK monarch and spent her life devoted to the people.

But what has changed in the 12 months of her absence?

"A lot of people expected the world to fall in when the queen died and the monarchy to be in all sorts of trouble," The Australian Women's Weekly's editor-at-large Juliet Rieden told A Current Affair.

"That has not been the case at all."
