What happened to the little Aussie boy who received the wish of a lifetime?

It was a moment in history many will remember: seven-year-old Nathan Cavaleri jamming with rock icon Mark Knopfler from Dire Straits.
The Australian boy had been diagnosed with leukemia the previous year.
Starlight Children's Foundation granted his wish and flew him and his family to London to meet Knopfler.

"But I didn't know that I was fighting for my life. I was kept in the dark about that," Cavaleri said.
Cavaleri became a guitar hero and appeared on Good Morning America and Conan O'Brien, going on to tour with BB King and performing alongside music legends like Bonnie Raitt and Etta James.
Then, he was mentored by Australian greats Jimmy Barnes and Diesel.
Michael Jackson, Prince, and Madonna were all fighting to sign the then-12-year-old to their music labels.

It's been 37 years since he was thrust into the spotlight.
Now a father of two himself, Starlight Foundation has never meant more to Cavaleri.
Cavaleri will be taking the stage at the upcoming Sydney Star Ball to help raise funds for the organisation that changed his life.
