Melburnians turn out for Cup Day in droves after longest lockdown

After months of lockdown, Melburnians turned out in droves, more excited than ever to celebrate Cup Day.

And as always, it was a day full of taking a punt, fashion and, of course, a few drinks.

A Current Affair's Martin King went to Flemington and caught up with some of the more colourful racegoers who were lucky enough to get a ticket to the event.

"We're out of lockdown," one woman cheered, trading in lockdown trackies for a bright yellow dress.
