Controversial MAFS groom hints at engagement

One of the most talked about Married at First Sight grooms in the show's history, Bryce Ruthen, has revealed that he may propose to bride, Bryce Ruthen, for real.

As the controversial groom made the bombshell revelation on A Current Affair,

But a surprised Melissa said that this was news to her.

"There may be a ring purchased, we'll wait and see when that time has arrived," Bryce told A Current Affair.

"Nothing formalised as yet but when the time's right, we'll go down the course of process, I'm sure."

But the pair confirmed that they're living together, and in love.

"From the moment I met Bryce, he made me laugh," Melissa said.

"He had a beautiful smile and during the whole experiment, I could just tell that we just were meant for each other,"

Melissa admits the intense commentary from both inside and outside the social experiment has been a challenge.

"It's been really difficult," she said.  

"Everyone's seeing only a certain amount of footage and it was filmed over three months, and I can whole heartedly say that we have a very lovely relationship."

Meanwhile, Melbourne couple, Belinda and Patrick, are also still together after the MAFS experience.

"I think what I like about Pat is that he is quirky and a bit weird like me, so I think because we really mesh in that way" Belinda said.

"It is possible to find someone on a reality TV show, believe it or not. But you know it worked out for us.

Belinda and Patrick are still getting to know each other better and are currently living apart. But the pair continue to enjoy a variety of dates.

"We've gone on day trips, just down the beach this weekend and we've done bowling, so just keep it like fun," Patrick said.

In Queensland, fellow MAFS couple, Kerry and Johnny, are also still together.

"We've actually gone back to normal life and we've sort of maintained our relationship and gotten stronger," Johnny said from the Sunshine Coast.

The pair have been married before, and it seems a second real-life wedding isn't out of the question.

"Okay, I was one to say I would never get married again," Johnny said.

"But since we've left, and since our lifestyles work, our relationship seems to be getting stronger and stronger. I wouldn't say 'no' to getting married again."
