Lego Masters new season 'almost a whole new show' says Hamish Blake

The third season of Lego Masters starts on Monday - and it's set to challenge the contestants like never before as they battle for the $100,000 prize.

Hosts Ryan "Brickman" McNaught, and Hamish Blake are back to bring the fun to the challenges.

"We are mates, and do have a lot of fun," admitted Blake.

However, the pair revealed, there's a new, dastardly brick in the mix this season.

While the 'golden brick' keeps teams safe from elimination, the 'brick of doom' is one to avoid.

"It's a brick you don't want..." Blake said.

Season three of Lego Masters also features the debut of the platinum brick.

That one comes with a secret advantage...

Meanwhile, Fluer and Sarah are among the new contestants.

The pair of mums describe their building style as 'organic.'

Lego super-fan Anthony, and teammate Jess teach STEM: science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Jess said: "For me having the opportunity to be a positive role model, and a girl in STEM is great."

Blake said the latest season takes things to the next level.

"This is almost a whole new show," he said.

"We've kept the Lego, but apart from that everything has changed."
