Kmart's online house makeover masterclasses the answer to lockdown languor

As Australians spend more time indoors than ever before, thousands are turning to mini-makeovers in their homes.

If your looking for inspiration Kmart has called in the experts.

The retail giant hosting four masterclasses online sharing their tips and tricks when it comes to transforming a room, trying a new recipe or looking for storage solutions.

Melbourne-based interior stylist Aimee Tarulli teamed up with Kmart's Nic Holmes.

"There has never been a better time to give your rooms a really good refresh," Ms Tarulli told A Current Affair.

"It's the great thing, you go in for a pair of socks and you leave with a dining setting. But it's those little things that just give us so much joy at the moment and enable us to transform a whole new look," she added.

Mr Holmes says his favourite piece of the August collection is the Herringbone cabinet.

"I love the detail on this cabinet. It's a perfect storage solution where you can pop things into the cupboard and display some of your favourite pieces."

Ms Tarulli's pick is the new selection of throws and cushions.

"You can layer them up and there is literally one for every colour palette, so no matter what your style, you'll find something you love," she said.

In the kitchen, celebrity chef Khanh Ong shares two of his favourite recipes using the sausage roll maker.

"The recipes are really simple. The way I cook is all about flavour and accessibility. It's all about being able to achieve the dishes at home," he said.

"I love the sausage roll maker... It makes cooking really easy and really fun."
