Charleville resident Jillian braced when she went to renew the insurance on her home, knowing it had probably gone up.

But she never expected it would come in at more than $43,000.

“I would rather they just said ‘no, look it’s unaffordable in your area’ than tell me that because it’s rude,” she said.
