‘It was a nightmare’: Families speak out as aged care crisis hits boiling point

Heartbroken families across the country are standing up to demand change as Australia’s home aged care crisis reaches boiling point.

Thousands have rallied behind the Families for Aged Care Equity and Support (FACES) campaign, sharing devastating stories of elderly loved ones left behind - and often dying - while waiting for approved government care packages.

And with Australia’s population rapidly ageing, advocates warn the crisis will worsen without immediate reform.
