Inside the delicate operation to heal a 24-hour-old chimpanzee

It was a delicate procedure, resetting a broken leg on a baby less than 24 hours after birth.

But what made this medical mission even more extraordinary was the patient was an infant chimpanzee and the doctor tasked with helping mend the bone was an orthopedic surgeon who usually operates on humans.
