Meet the employees who make up Australia's happiest workplace

It's been dubbed Australia's happiest workplace, simply because no one wants to leave.

Wesley Mission's David Morgan Centre at Rydalmere in Sydney's West opened in 1972, and one of the first workers through the door was Terry who is celebrating 50 years.

"I love it, like a family," Terry said.

The workplace presented Terry with a jersey, signed by players from his favourite team, the Parramatta Eels.

It had a big 50 on the back.

"Terry more often than not has a smile on his face and a laugh in his belly," boss Rick Lyddiard said.

"He doesn't say a bad word about anyone, makes friends with everyone, he's a joy to have in the place."

The David Morgan Centre is a commercially-run business which sets out to provide employment opportunities for those living with a disability.

"Eighty per cent of the work is spent packaging pharmaceuticals, human health, veterinary products, and many more," Lyddiard said.

"You find our products in Costco, Woolworths, Coles, Priceline, Bunnings - all over the place - so these guys can pack the product and then they can go into the shops and see the work they've done on the shelves."

Terry isn't the only employee who loves the job.

A Current Affair also met Asimina who hasn't pulled a sickie in 40 years, as well as Paul who started on March 29, 1984.
