Beauty business customers demand answers following sudden closure

Elan Laser Clinics customers and former employees are demanding answers after the Gold Coast business closed its doors just weeks after selling thousands of dollars worth of services, which customers say they never received.

When Elan Laser Clinics promoted an 80 per cent off sale, mum Sandy Reay and other customers took advantage of the low prices.

"I purchased two separate packages to the value of just under $300," Reay told A Current Affair.

But a day before Reay was due to receive one of her scheduled treatments she got an email to say it had been cancelled.

The clinic, which was in a Westfield Shopping Centre, now sits empty, but on its website it says the business had changed hands in June and anyone with any questions about existing appointments and pre-paid treatment should contact the new owners.
