Tonight, A Current Affair investigates the suburban factories sending our liquid gold overseas.

A Current Affair reached out to Coles and Woolworths during the investigation.

“Coles is committed to ensuring our customers have access to infant formula and as a result we are limiting sales quantities to two units per customer. We are working with our suppliers on solutions to improve availability for customers," A Coles spokeswoman told A Current Affair.

"Where formula is unavailable, we encourage customers to speak with their local store manager.”

Woolworths confirmed they also have the two-tin policy to ensure stock is available to all customers.

"Woolworths continues to encourage any parents who find their chosen baby formula brand is unavailable on the shelf to speak with their Store Manager, so we can help get them stock as quickly as possible," a Woolworths spokeswoman said.
