Statement from Australia Post spokesperson
We are extremely disappointed by the actions of this driver and we have suspended him from delivering. This was an isolated incident and does not reflect the hard work and performance of the vast majority of our drivers and posties who deliver millions of items each week safely and on-time.
As soon as the incident was reported we apologised to Mr Tee and an insurance claim was immediately lodged. We’re pleased that Mr Tee’s insurance claim is being paid this week and we apologise again for the inconvenience caused and for the time taken for the claim to be settled.
