'The pickle of all pickles': Couple's dream crushed after 'forever home' built on the wrong block

All Dave and Melanie Moor wanted was their little house on the hill.
Technically they got both of those things, just on another bloke's block.

At the same time, they bought an existing house and paid a contractor to move it onto the Camperdown site.
They were preparing to move in when the council told them there had been a mix up.
The Moors block is lot two, but their home had been built next door, on lot one.
"We didn't think it was true, because the council signed off on everything, so we thought it was a scam," Mrs Moor said.

With the house almost finished, the couple moved most of their possessions, including precious family heirlooms, into a shipping container behind the house.
But if they try to access them, they'd be trespassing.
The dream home was supposed to be a place for Mrs Moor, who has a rare form of motor neuron disease, and Mr Moor, who has stage four liver disease, to enjoy some peace together in the country.

But Mr Moor believes it's his real estate agent and the local council that should fit the bill for the building blunder.
"This was going to be our forever home and now it's our never home," Mr Moor said.
