Behind the scenes of The Weakest Link

"It's Panavision and beyond, so Magdavision," Magda Szubanski told A Current Affair's Marty King on the set of the Weakest Link.
As Szubanski gives A Current Affair a tour of the show's studio, she admits her hosting style will be a lot "nicer" than other international hosts of the same programme.
"The world's just a different place you know, so, it's stern but it's not quite as brutal as the English one," she said.

The new Weakest Link is Szubanski's first role in a TV series since her appearance in My Life Is Murder as Miranda Lee and in Neighbours as Jemima Davies-Smythe.
The comedian has instead spent her time writing children's books Timmy the Ticked-Off Pony, which comes in three instalments, so far.
"[Timmy the Ticked-Off Pony is] semi-autobiographical, it's based on, they say write what you know, it's based on an Insta-famous pony who has a terrible attitude," she said.

But there's even more to Szubanski than people realise - there's also her volunteer and not-for-profit work.
"I think really most Aussies are, you know, you look at the people, the way everyone responded when those fires happened," she said.
I think that's just a very, very typical thing for Australians to do, so I honestly don't think I'm any different in that regard."

But, Szubanski said the Weakest Link may be her favourite project yet.
"Oh, it's a perfect fit, it is fun, and I do love a quiz show, I love general knowledge, I love finding out about things," she said.
The Weakest Link's first episode airs on Tuesday, May 25 at 9pm on Nine and 9Now.
