Alleged serial conman Brett Joseph arrested overseas
Alleged serial Australian conman Brett Joseph has been arrested in Texas in the US, ending a years-long trail of alleged fake fortunes, multiple aliases and lives ruined.
First exposed by A Current Affair in 2012 over a bogus $12 million charity pledge and a fake offer on a $44 million Sydney mansion, Joseph allegedly targeted dozens of victims globally.

Former fraud squad boss Mike Gerondis believes Joseph has left more than 30 victims in his wake, describing him as a controlling narcissist who cannot stop.
In 2016, regional NSW resident Daisy matched with Joseph on Tinder.
She says he posed as a wealthy agronomist and part-owner of champion racehorse Winx, and left her $25,000 out of pocket after six months.
Daisy launched the website Stop Brett Joseph to expose his endless supply of aliases.
Joseph has always denied all wrongdoing in relation to Daisy.
Joseph eventually moved to Texas, reportedly posing as a wealthy oil executive before a 2017 wedding fell through when his fiancée discovered his true identity. He denies that allegation.
Earlier this month, his past finally caught up with him.
Joseph was booked into Stephens County Jail on felony charges for fraudulent use or possession of identifying information.
If convicted, he faces up to two years in prison. His victims hope justice is finally served.
